AllThingsAutistic

Where advocacy meets empathy

Welcome to AllThingsAutistic — a hub built from lived experience, research and love.

About Us

Why AllThingsAutistic was created

AllThingsAutistic was born out of uncertainty and love.

For years, I searched for answers to help my son. There were many diagnoses, each one offering a glimpse of understanding but never the full picture. We moved between schools, adjusted expectations, and learned to meet his needs in new ways.

There were many crises, much misunderstanding, and more tears than I can count. Every professional we met added a piece to the puzzle, yet what I longed for most was one place, a single, reliable hub, where information, empathy, and guidance could exist together.

That place did not exist.

So I created it.

AllThingsAutistic is a space for parents, caregivers, educators, and anyone seeking to understand the autistic mind with both heart and clarity. It is built from lived experience, research, and the belief that when we understand differently, we support better.

If you are standing where I once stood, trying to make sense of behaviours, emotions, and labels that never seem to fit neatly, this space was built for you.

Because no parent should have to navigate this journey alone, and every child deserves a world that truly sees them.

Our Core Values

Autism is a natural and meaningful part of human diversity.

It brings both extraordinary strengths and genuine struggles, reminding us that difference can be beautiful and hard at the same time. The challenges often come not from autism itself but from environments and expectations that are not built for neurodiverse minds. Understanding this helps us create spaces where autistic people can thrive.

Understanding creates real support.

True support begins with curiosity, not correction. When we understand how a person's brain and body work together, we move from managing behaviour to meeting needs, building trust, confidence and growth.

Empathy builds bridges by respecting difference.

Empathy means listening before judging, observing before assuming and connecting without trying to change. It is the foundation of authentic relationships in homes, classrooms and communities.

Every journey holds value.

No two autistic profiles or life paths are alike. Each story, every challenge, discovery and triumph adds to a collective movement toward understanding and acceptance that honours difference as essential to being human.
